The fall and rupture of mobile in today’s time is a bit common. More than thousands of mobile phones fall and breaks every day. To protect the mobile from breaking down today, all the tools have come in the market like “Temper glass” etc. ..but a solution called AD (active dumping) phone case, which has been registered for patent, can detect that your handset is in free fall. After this, it releases springs to push the surface to the surface, reducing the effect.
Philip Franzel, a 25 year old student from Germany’s Allen University, has created a sensor that can detect when your phone comes in contact with the air, it will be avoided.
The sensors present in the ‘Mobile Airbag’ case signal to release four springs, which bounce while hitting the phone, which is more likely to avoid scraps and cracks. In this case the dumpers are pushed into ‘airbags’ position with metal springs, and they essentially help in absorbing the effects of the fall. Once deployed, the dumpers can be pushed back into the case, which means that you can use it again.
But now this ‘Mobile Airbag’ or ‘AD’ is not available for sale. But Frazel has acquired the patent. And Frazel got an award for the invention of German inventions of Mechatronics. Public broadcaster Sudestrandfunk released a video from Frazel, in which Eddie adds the minimum weight on the phone while providing important protection against the case drop shock. Frazel Kick starter is planning to commercialize the case beginning with a crowd funding campaign.
