NEW DELHI: Microsoft is trying something new with its newest version of Windows 10, Windows 10 S. It is killing the moniker and instead replacing it with ‘S Mode’. As observed by website, Windows S Mode will be available on all versions of Windows.

Windows Home and Education users will get free upgrade from Home S to Home versions. However, Pro S users would need to pay $49 to get Windows 10 Pro. Also mentioned is that S Mode will include AV/Security apps.

It has been revealed that 60% of the Windows 10 S users chose to remain on the same OS version rather than upgrading it. Also mentioned is that most of the users who upgrade, do so within 24 hours of getting the device. If they don’t upgrade, the company adds that 83% of them stay on the same version forever.

The Redmond-based tech company is yet to give details on ‘S Mode’.
